The Pestana Dom Joao II hotel is located right by the beach area of the Algarve, with a wonderful view over the Atlantic, around 1 km outside the town of Alvor. Further sightseeing attractions include cities like Portimao, Lagos or Silves, which lie between 5 and 20 km away from the hotel. The Alvor Estuary, a major nature protection area for birds, is within easy reach of the hotel. Public transport departs from stops directly in front of the hotel. Faro airport is a 30-minute drive away from the hotel.

The beach hotel offers a total of 247 rooms on 6 floors, of which 19 are suites. Guests are provided with direct access to the beach.
