3. THE TOWER OF LONDON
One of the world’s most famous palaces, the Tower of London has had many different uses over the years. Founded by William the Conqueror in 1066-7 and enlarged and modified over subsequent years, the tower houses the spectacular Crown Jewels and is the site of the execution of three English Queens..but don’t let that put you off!
